Authentic farmer's kitchen

Katharina will pamper you and your guests in the Bernese Oberland according to all rules of culinary art. Would you like to start the day with a rich brunch? Should it be a simple meal for a small budget? Or would you like to enjoy an exquisite four-course menu? A barbecue with all the trimmings is also available. Up to six people can be catered for in the cosy farmhouse parlour. Larger groups of up to 20 people can be accommodated in the pasture hut above Frutigen with a wonderful view of the valley.

The farmer's wife Katharina

Katharina, a trained cook and service specialist, runs a suckler cow farm with her husband Markus. She is currently training to become a farmer and otherwise pursues her passion for cooking whenever possible. Katharina cooks her fine menus with the meat of the animals from her own farm and the salad and vegetables from the garden which are available according to season.

Arrival and social programme

The Meisenhof is idyllically situated between Frutigen and Adelboden. Are you travelling by public transport? Then you can optimally combine your visit to Katharina with a one-hour hike. A beautiful hiking trail leads you from Frutigen along the Engstlige directly to the farmer's wife Katharina. She will also be happy to give you a short presentation on mountain farming. She also offers a plant course or a plant quiz around the farm.
