Arepas with various fillings
Arepa is a round, gluten-free cornmeal bread that is baked and then filled. In the food truck, the delicious dish is prepared according to the traditional recipes of the Valbuena family from Maracaibo.
The following variations are available:
- La Morena: Plucked beef (CH), seasoned with a fine vegetable sauce
- La Reina Pepiada: Plucked chicken breast (CH), mayonnaise and avocado
- Domino: Black beans with cheddar cheese (vegan version) or avocado (vegan version).
- La Bomba: Plucked beef (CH), refined with a delicate vegetable sauce, black beans and cheddar cheese
Combine with a spicy sauce or the Venezuelan herb sauce Guasacaca if desired.
Pabellón Criollo - the national dish
The Venezuelan national dish Pabellón Criollo is also on the menu at this food truck. The rich dish includes:
- Meat option: rice, black beans, pulled beef (CH), vegetable sauce, plantains and grated cheese
- Vegi and vegan option: rice, black beans, avocado, plantains and grated cheese (for the vegi option)
Served with a spicy sauce and the Venezuelan herb sauce guasacaca.
Appetizers and desserts available
If you wish, you can make a whole menu out of the arepas or the Pabellón Criollo in combination with starters, desserts and drinks.
- Starters: Mini arepas, mini arepa fritas con suero, tortilla chips with sauces, tequeños (dumplings with cheese), albondigas (meatballs), empanadas, various tapas.
- Desserts: Quesillo (a type of flan), Tres Leches (milk cake), Brooky (brownie-cookie fusion), Torta Zanahoria (carrot cake)
- Drinks: Typical Venezuelan drinks available include Maltin Polar (non-alcoholic malt drink) or the local Polar beer.
