Dining in baroque ambience

Welcome to Palais Besenval, the city palace located directly on the Aare in Solothurn. Come in and be enchanted by the more than 300-year history of the house. The Palais offers you all the amenities of a modern seminar building, but with its baroque ambience is also the ideal venue for an unforgettable celebration. The chef will spoil your guests in the Great Hall or on the terrace overlooking the Aare.

The country house and its history

The country house built in 1722 is also located directly on the Aare. For more than a hundred years, it served as a depository for salt, wine and other goods that were brought on ships from Biel and Neuchâtel to Solothurn. After a major fire in 1955, the country house was rebuilt true to the original. Today it offers space for a wide variety of events. You can use the country house as a seminar centre or receive your guests for an exclusive meal in the imposing portico.
